Asian Games medalists Ramirez, Napolis honored in Muntinlupa
The Muntinlupa City government honored Asian Games medalists and residents Annie Ramirez and Kaila Napolis for their feats.
In two resolutions, the Muntinlupa City Council congratulated Ramirez for winning a gold medal in jiu-jitsu (57 kg) and Napolis for taking home a bronze medal in jiu-jitsu (52 kg) at the 19th Asian Games held in China.

Resolution Nos. 2023-339 and 2023-340 for the two medalists were signed by Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
“Annie Ramirez, a three-time Asian champion, defended her unbeaten run and ruled teh Women’s Jiu-Jitsu Competition (57 kg) in the recently concluded Asian Games,” according to Resolution No. 2023-340.
Resolution No. 2023-339 stated that “Napolis, a two-time world championships medalist, secured the Bronze Medal in Women's Jiu-jitsu (52kg) adding it to the 18 medals bagged by the Philippine Athletes in the recently concluded Asian Games.”
“The Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Muntinlupa is extending its heartfelt congratulations to all the Muntinlupeno Athletes and Coaches …for bringing honor and prestige to the City of Muntinlupa and serve as epitome of excellence and inspiration to our youth,” the two resolutions added.
The city government also gives cash incentives to winners of different local and international competitions.
