The country’s longest-running morning show – Unang Hirit (UH) – remains committed to its core mission of public service, opening its Serbisyong Totoo booth at the Manila North Cemetery and its Sorpresa Truck at the Manila South Cemetery for Undas 2023 last Oct. 31 to Nov. 1.

UH Barkada Ivan Mayrina, Mariz Umali, “Morning Sunshine” Shaira Diaz,  “Morning Oppa” Kaloy Tingcungco, Anjo Pertierra, Kim Perez, Anjay Anson, and Jenzel Angeles were present at the Serbisyong Totoo booth at the Manila North Cemetery and interacted with the crowd, making the experience even more memorable.

Hundreds of Kapuso who came to visit their loved ones eagerly lined up to take advantage of the booth’s new and upgraded services, which included free snacks, candles, water, coffee, name tags for children, and first-aid services. Additionally, UH provided free internet access and a roving photo booth. Visitors also enjoyed having their photos taken with the celebrity volunteers.

Aside from these, UH also provided visitors with the opportunity to experience the thrill of winning prizes through a special Sorpresa Corner at the booth, where they could participate in entertaining games to win amazing prizes.

Mariz narrated how she felt while manning the Serbisyong Totoo booth.

Meanwhile, UH’s weather presenter Anjo expressed his joy on his first-time experience serving at the UH booth, “Masaya yung naging experience ko kasi tinatawag nila kong ‘growing boy’ dahil kay Sir Igan.

The positive energy and good vibes of Shaira and Kaloy were also felt at the Serbisyong Totoo booth.

UH has enhanced the accessibility to its services at the Manila South Cemetery by introducing a Sorpresa Truck that roamed inside the cemetery.

UH food explorer Chef JR Royol prepared breakfast for cemetery goers at the Manila South Cemetery, while UH hosts Suzi Entrata and Jenzel Angeles distributed snacks and other complimentary items through the truck.

To ensure order and cleanliness within the cemeteries, UH partnered with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to form the Linis Squad, which was tasked with maintaining cleanliness within the cemetery premises.

Since 2009, UH has been delivering ‘Serbisyong Totoo’ to the public every Undas as it embraces the Filipino values of honoring all departed loved ones and cherishing their families.
