CEBU CITY – A driver died after the fuel tanker he was driving hit another tanker before slamming into a house on the South Coastal Road in Talisay City, Cebu, before dawn on Wednesday, November 8.

Jonathan Tumulak, head of the City of Talisay Traffic Operation Development Authority, said Alvior and another tanker driven by Glenn Gersin had just delivered fuel in Cebu and were headed back to Negros Occidental.
Tumulak said Gersin stopped for traffic on Uldog St. but the tanker driven by Alvior did not stop even if the traffic light was red.
The tanker swerved to the left and hit a gutter. After hitting the gutter, Alvior maneuvered to the right and hit the tanker driven by Gersin.
Alvior’s tanker headed to the roadside and rammed into a house. No one was injured inside the house.
Tumulak said Alvior complained of difficulty in breathing when paramedics pulled him out of the tanker. He was taken to the Cebu South Medical Center where he eventually died.
Tumulak said it was uncertain if the driver suffered a heart attack while he was driving.
