Chef yields P1.5-M illegal drugs in Makati op

The Makati City Police on Sunday, Oct. 6, confiscated more than P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs from a chef in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.

According to the police, a concerned citizen working as an employee at a courier service provider, tipped Makati Police Substation 7 that the suspect, identified as "R", was using their delivery services for the transportation of illegal drugs which included marijuana kush, marijuana oil, and other drug paraphernalia.

This prompted the police to conduct an operation which led to the arrest of "R" and the confiscation of P1,540,000 worth of drugs in his possession.

The suspect is now facing charges in violation of Section 5 of Article II of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act.
