Lover's spat eyed in Batangueña beauty queen's disappearance

A Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) official disclosed the possibility of a lover’s spat as having led to the disappearance of beauty queen Catherine Camilon.

Major General Romeo Caramat Jr, CIDG director, told “24 Oras,” “Quarrel among this victim at saka ‘yung suspek, na allegedly it is an open secret that they have a love relationship.”

He went on to describe the person of interest as a police officer, citing the testimony of two witnesses who last saw Catherine October 12.

Supposedly, they saw Catherine inside a car, which was parked in an empty lot in a subdivision.

They described her as “duguan sa ulo...”

“It’s either hinampas ng baril or binaril doon mismo sa loob ng sasakyan,” said Caramat.

The Miss Grand Philippines candidate was supposedly with the said person of interest whom they positively identified due to his tattoos and physical appearance.

The witnesses went on to relate that the personal driver of the person of interest pointed a gun at them.

“Nakita (sila) ng suspek natin, nilapitan at tinutukan sila ng baril,” said Caramat.

Authorities have offered 250,000 pesos for any information leading to Catherine’s whereabouts.

Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste added 100,000 pesos to the bounty.

The business sector of PNP Calabarzon offered another 100,000 pesos.
