Korean brand, KG Mobility, coming to Philippines under TCCCI

KG Mobility, formerly known as Ssangyong, makes its comeback

South Korean auto brand, KG Mobility, will be making a comeback and under its new exclusive distributor, The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI). Formalized in mid Q3 2023, Mobility Philippines (KGM PH,) becomes yet another addition to TCCCI’s car brand portfolio. TCCCI is the current distributor of Chevrolet cars in the Philippines, and former distributor of MG cars.

KG Mobility, formerly known as Ssangyong, is domestically recognized in Korea as an innovative and respected automotive company, backed by nearly 70 years of expertise in SUV manufacturing and production. KG Mobility’s roots date back to 1954 and, from then onwards, the brand has carved out a reputation for being a premier Korean SUV manufacturer and specialist, and one of the main pillars of the Korean automotive industry.

On a global scale, KG Mobility continues to expand its presence on the world stage, exporting an advanced lineup of SUV products through approximately 1,500 global networks in 126 countries and global markets, with the Philippines as its newest destination.

TCCCI has a comprehensive brand introduction marked by extensive awareness-driving campaigns planned for KG Mobility. As part of its introduction, the brand will have five new vehicles, each with unique selling points, available by in the Philippine market by the end of 2023. These will be the Tivoli Crossover SUV; the Tivoli Grand SUV; the Torres SUV; the Rexton Mid-Size SUV; and the Musso Grand Pickup. Each model carries the proud heritage of KG Mobility and, with the variety of this initial offering, KG Mobility Philippines aims to satisfy multiple customer segments made up of discerning individuals with varied needs and preferences. 

Aside from a stirring product lineup, a key part of KG Mobility Philippines’ opening salvo is the establishment of a national dealer network that is designed to provide sales and aftersales support to clients across the archipelago. Vehicles will be available for retail and service at select KG Mobility Philippines dealers starting Q4 2023, leading up to the official brand launch which will take place in Q1 2024. And by the end of 2024, TCCCI forecasts a total of twelve established dealerships to form KG Mobility Philippines’ nationwide dealership network. 

Buyers will have easy access to KG Mobility Solutions aftersales support via a string of KGM PH-accredited and authorized service outlets. KG Mobility Solutions is set in place to provide customers with the necessary support they need including swift, one-hour service for periodic vehicle maintenance, or home vehicle servicing packages that can be availed of for more specialized aftersales cases. Apart from these, other aftersales complements include a five-year / 100,000km vehicle warranty, and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance via KG Mobility Philippines’ customer support hotline.

If there is no nearby showroom, KG Mobility will come to you, with pop-up concept road shows in leading business and lifestyle hubs in NCR, where bulk of the brand’s target market has been identified. More pop-up concepts will be instituted over a wider area of coverage in 2024.

KG Mobility Philippines wants to provide Filipinos with top-notch, stylish, high-value products that are backed by a rich motoring heritage. Indeed, now is the right time to say “Annyeong, KG Mobility Philippines.”
