Globe offers free mobile services to Filipinos in Israel
Globe is offering free roaming call, text, and data services to Filipinos in Israel amid the ongoing violent conflict and militant attacks in the area.
“Globe is immediately providing connectivity support to Filipinos in Israel as conflict grips the Middle Eastern nation, where thousands of our kababayans live and work. Through free roaming access, we hope to help them reach their loved ones at home at this difficult time,” said Coco Domingo, Globe VP for Postpaid and International Business.
Postpaid and prepaid customers using roaming services in Israel can use free 15 minutes of incoming and outgoing calls, 15 texts to all networks, and 1GB data for seven days with no additional costs.
The free roaming services, automatically provided to customers, can be accessed by connecting with Cellcom, Partner Communications, and Pelephone, all of which are Globe’s roaming partners. A confirmation message will be sent to customers verifying their use of the services.
Customers can dial “+” plus country code, area code and telephone number or dial “+” plus country code and mobile number to make a call.
For texts, customers can type “+” plus country code and mobile number.
Customers can turn on their mobile data and data roaming on their phones, and connect to either 3G or LTE to use the free 1GB data.
Postpaid customers are advised to only turn on their mobile data and data roaming upon receiving the activation message.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is continuously monitoring the situation in Israel, accounting for the overseas Filipino workers residing in the country.
