Erwin Tulfo reclaims top spot in Tangere's 2025 senatorial preference survey

ACT-CIS Party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo reclaimed the top spot in the Tangere’s November senatorial survey for 2025 midterm elections.

The big data research firm’s survey conducted from Nov. 2 to 4, 2023 found that 60 percent of Filipinos would vote for Tulfo if the May 2025 elections were held during the survey period.

Tangere said former President Rodrigo Duterte fell to the second position after seeing a 5 percent decline in voter preference, from 62.42 percent in September to 57.39 percent in November.

Former Senator Tito Sotto, who maintained his third-place ranking and received 49.06 percent of the vote, came next.

Meanwhile, Senator Imee Marcos moved up from fifth place in the previous poll to fourth place with a voter preference of 48.78 percent.

Incumbent Senator Bong Go came in fifth place, from sixth, with 47.22 percent voter preference.

Former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso fell to sixth place from fourth place, with 44.94 percent voter preference.

Meanwhile, former Senator Manny Pacquiao (42.56 percent) and physician Willie Ong (42.39 percent) remained seventh and eighth, respectively.

Incumbent senators Pia Cayetano (39 percent, remained in 9th place), Ronaldo “Bato” Dela Rosa (38.11 percent, moved from 10th to 11th place), Francis Tolentino (37.56 percent, moved from 11th to 10th place), and Lito Lapid (34.17 percent, remained in 12th place) round out the top 12.

Tangere also noted that former Vice President Leni Robredo “nearly” made it into the top 12 with 32 percent voter preference, “driven by respondents from the Bicol Region and Western Visayas.”

The 2025 Senate Survey had a sample size of 1,800 participants and was administered via a mobile-based respondent application.

The proportion was distributed throughout the Philippines, with 12 percent from the National Capital Region, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
