The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has once again earned top marks for its handling of tax-related matters referred by Malacañang during the first eight months of this year.
From January to August, the Office of the President's 8888 Citizens' Complaint Center (8888 CCC) forwarded 962 citizen complaints and inquiries to the bureau.
Remarkably, all of these concerns were promptly addressed and resolved within the stipulated 72-hour compliance period.
This outstanding performance showcases a flawless 100 percent compliance and resolution rates in adhering to the instructions of the 8888 CCC.
Bernadette B. Casinabe, the head of the complaint center, expressed her gratitude to the BIR for their unwavering cooperation in swiftly handling and resolving citizen issues reported through the 8888 CCC.
BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui, Jr. said that "maintaining a consistent 100 percent compliance and resolution rates within the 72-hour timeframe reflects the BIR's steadfast commitment to providing speedy and effective solutions to taxpayers' concerns."
