Bea Alonzo unlocks new achievement

Bea Alonzo is soon to become an official resident of Spain.

The actress shared the good news with fans via her most recent vlog.

“Makukuha ko na ‘yung resident card ko, yay! So I will be an official resident of Spain so it’s really an important trip for Dom and I,” she said.

The trip she is referring to is her recently concluded European trip with fiancé Dominic Roque.

During the same trip, Bea and Dominic stayed at the Madrid apartment she purchased last year.

It is her acquisition of the apartment that made her eligible for a Spanish Golden Visa, which also allowed her to obtain her residency status through Spain's "Residency by Investment" program.

As a resident of Spain, Bea can now travel visa-free to other countries within the Schengen zone, which covers most of the EU member countries, except Ireland.

Note that although not members of the EU, countries like Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Lichtenstein are also part of the Schengen zone.
