Barangay official attacked by ex-running mate who lost in Cavite BSKE

CAVITE – A barangay official was attacked by his former running mate who lost in the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Cavite City on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspect as alias Ateng.

According to the police report, the victim and the suspect were involved in an altercation regarding the results of the BSKE.

The suspect allegedly drew a knife and attacked the victim, slashing the latter’s chin.

The victim suffered a minor injury and was immediately brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested by the police and is facing an attempted homicide charge.

The Cavite PPO said the case is a suspected election-related incident, subject to committee validation.
