4 PH universities join 2024 QS Asia Rankings for the first time
Four universities in the Philippines have joined the esteemed 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings in Asia for the first time, according to the results released on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and the University of San Carlos (USC) in Cebu placed in the 551-600 bracket during their first appearance.
The USC's performance in employer and academic reputation earned recognition as the second-best institution in the Philippines in the citations per paper category.
Meanwhile, Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila was ranked 701-750, and Mindanao State University (MSU) was ranked 801+.
The total number of Philippine universities in the QS Asia rankings increased to 16 out of 857 assessed institutions in Asia with the addition of these four universities.
The University of the Philippines continued to hold the top spot, ranking 78th from 87th this year.
Following UP are Ateneo de Manila University, which ranked 137th and De La Salle University (DLSU), which ranked 154th.
They are trailed by the University of Santo Tomas at 179th spot.
Adamson University and the University of San Carlos were in the 551-600 bracket.
Mapua University and Silliman University have secured ranks in the 601-650 range, while Ateneo de Davao University was in the 651-700 bracket.
Saint Louis University was placed in the 751-800 bracket, while Xavier University and the Lyceum of the Philippines University earned rankings in the 801+ spot.
