3 hurt in Caloocan fire

Three persons were hurt in a fire that gutted five houses at Phase 4 , Bagong Silang, Brgy 176, Caloocan City on Sunday evening, Oct. 8.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the victims as Joan Magno, 44; Eduardo Cervantes, 22, and Oliver Tablada, 37, who sustained  second degree burns in different parts of the body.

The BFP said the fire was raised to the first alarm at around 10:03 p.m. and was declared under control at around 10:42 p.m.

It was extinguished at around 10:52 p.m.

Authorities placed an estimated P60,000 damage to property caused by the fire that affected five families.

Arson probers are still determining the cause of the fire which was reported to have originated from the kitchen of a house in the area.
