2 Chinese arrested, 16 rescued from prostitution in Parañaque City

Two Chinese nationals were arrested while 16 alleged victims of human trafficking were rescued in a joint operation conducted by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), District Mobile Force Battalion-Southern Police District (DMFB-SPD), and the Parañaque city police on Tuesday night, Nov. 6.
According to the report of the SPD, the suspects, identified as alias Han and Sun, were arrested around 9:00 p.m. at the seventh floor of Sinocan Building located in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
The SPD said the joint team received a tip and conducted a raid on the prostitution den.
The police said the arrested suspects will face human trafficking charges.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes said further investigation is still being conducted to identify all individuals involved in the criminal operation.
"We are committed to eradicating human trafficking and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our community. This operation reflects our unwavering dedication to combating illegal activities and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation,” Pespes said.
