10 hurt as van plunges off cliff in Quezon

INFANTA, Quezon – Ten persons were injured after the van they were riding in plunged off a cliff before dawn on Sunday, October 8, in Barangay Magsaysay here.

Police identified the victims as Ezekiel Atienza, 24, driver, and passengers Jeremiah Atienza, Alexandra Nicole Atienza, Abigail Atienza, David Brazil, Aaron Matthew Brazil, RR Atienza, Sheryl Ibay, Emil Aranal, and Kevin Saberon.

Investigation said Ezekiel was driving an L-300 van towards the town proper when he overshot the road upon reaching a curved portion and fell into a cliff.

Victims were taken to the Claro M. Recto District Hospital here.
