Taguig LGU distributes new school uniforms

The Taguig City government started the distribution of new and improved school uniforms to students on Nov. 6.

"Magmula nung kinder kayo, hanggang sa mag elementarya kayo, nag-K-to-12 na at lahat hanggang sa grumaduate kayo ng senior high school, every step of the way, ramdam ninyo ang pagmamahal ng local government, ramdam ninyo ang TLC ng Taguig (Since kinder until you reached elementary, K-to-12 and all until you graduate from senior high school, every step of the way, you felt the love of the local government, you felt the TLC of Taguig),” said Mayor Lani Cayetano who personally distributed the uniforms at Bagumbayan National High School.

Angeli Nicole Cañaveral, a Grade 8 student at Tibagan High School in Barangay East Rembo, Taguig, said, "Excited na po akong gamitin itong bagong uniform namin dahil maganda po talaga siya (I’m excited to use our new uniform because it’s really beautiful).”

Grade 11 student Hannah Moises of Bagumbayan National High School said their parents will not have to worry about buying them uniforms for this school year.

The distribution of uniforms will continue in the next few days in other public schools in Taguig targeting about 200,000 beneficiaries.

The city government arranged for dedicated sizers for each school. They will be present during the distribution to promptly address sizing discrepancies and cater to those who haven't had their measurements taken. Uniforms and shoes that do not fit will be replaced.
