Over P500,000 'shabu' seized in QC, Navotas, Valenzuela
Police confiscated over P500,000 worth of suspected shabu in three separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Quezon, Navotas, and Valenzuela on Monday, Nov. 5, and Wednesday, Nov. 7.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Tuesday, Nov. 6, that around 55 grams of alleged shabu worth P374,000 was seized from a 51-year-old man identified as Ariel San Andres, of Sampaloc, Manila on Monday.
The entrapment operation against the suspect was launched by the QCPD - District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) at around 11:30 p.m. at the corner of Basinillo and F. Bautista Streets in Brgy. Damayan after a concerned citizen reported the suspect’s illegal drug peddling activities in the area.
San Andres was arrested after an operative who posed as a buyer successfully purchased P10,000 worth of “shabu” from him.
Also confiscated from the suspect were a a coin purse, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) - Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) also confiscated around 10.3 grams of suspected shabu valued at P70,040 from a man in another buy-bust operation conducted on Judge Roldan St. in Brgy San Roque, Navotas City at around 3:23 a.m. on Wednesday.
The suspect was identified as alias “Tupa,” 31, of Barangay Tangos North, Navotas City.
NCPS said Tupa sold P3,000 “shabu” to a police poseur-buyer which resulted in his arrest and the confiscation of the alleged illegal drugs, and a coin purse.
Meanwhile, Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) personnel also arrested a man after he yielded P61,200 worth of suspected shabu in another buy-bust operation on Wednesday.
VCPS identified the suspect as alias Rod, 44, of Barangay Maysan, Valenzuela City.
He was arrested on Purok 4, Area 6, Brgy. Maysan at aroud 5:25 a.m. on Wednesday.
Operatives also seized a cellphone, a coin purse, and two P50 bills from the suspects.
All suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
