Napolcom opens online registration for police exams


At noontime on Tuesday, Nov 7, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) will open its online registration for the nationwide conduct of the PNP Entrance (PNPE) and Promotional Examinations (PROMEX) scheduled on Dec.10. 

In a statement, Napolcom advised those interested to register early since the last day of registration is on Nov. 17. 

In order to prevent any hassle and glitches, the agency released “to-do” list to assist the applicants, including then advice for an applicant must prepare the scanned copy (JPEG) of one (1) valid government-issued ID (National ID, PNP ID, Passport, Postal ID, Driver’s License, PRC ID, etc.) before the registration. 

 The steps for the online registration are as follows. 

1.     Go directly to the Napolcom website www.napolcom.gov.ph;

2.     Click the desired exam (PNP Entrance or Promotional Exams);

3.     Fill out the required data and review the same;

4.     Upload the scanned copy (JPEG) of the valid government-issued ID; and,

5.     After uploading the same, the system will generate a Notice stating the requirements to be brought during the processing of the application at the Regional Office.

The Napolcom said the applicants are given 48 hours to process his/her application and to pay the exam fee after they successfully registered online.

“Non-compliance will result in the forfeiture of his/her application. The exam fee shall be forfeited in case of non-appearance of the applicant during the exam day. The period of processing of applications at the Regional Offices is from November 7 to 21, 2023,” the Napolcom advisory read. 

An applicant with a confirmed processing schedule should proceed to the Napolcom Regional Office in his/her area for the filling out of the Index Card (to be provided by the Regional Office) with the following requirements:

 PNP Entrance Examination (for Civilians)

1.     Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);

2.     Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);

3.     Authenticated copy of ANY of the following:

·       Transcript of Records

·       Diploma

·       Certificate of Graduation

4.     One (1) valid government-issued ID (National ID, Passport, Postal ID, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.);

5.     One (1) legal-size window envelope with twenty-one pesos (Php21.00) worth of stamp;

6.     One (1) recent 1” x 1” size photo (in color) with name tag (first, middle, and last names); and,

7.     Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (Php400.00).

PNP Entrance Examination (for Patrolmen/Patrolwomen with Temporary Status of Appointment)

1.     Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);

2.     Authenticated copy of KSS Form bilang 33/Appointment Order;

3.     One (1) valid government-issued ID (PNP, National ID, Passport, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.);

4.     One (1) legal-size window envelope with twenty-one pesos (Php21.00) worth of stamp;

5.     One (1) recent 1" x 1” size photo (in color) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names); and,

6.     Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (Php400.00).

Promotional Examinations (PO4th, PO3rd, PO2nd and PO1st Classes)

1.     Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);

2.     Authenticated copy of KSS Form bilang 33/Promotion Order for the present rank;

3.     Authenticated copy of applicable Certificate of Eligibility (Board/Bar/Civil Service Professional/NAPOLCOM or Certification of Eligibility issued by the Napolcom) as stated in Item IV of this announcement;

4.     One (1) recent 1” x 1” size photo (in color) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names);

5.     One (1) valid government-issued ID (PNP, National ID, Passport, Driver’s License, PRC, etc.);

6.     One (1) legal-size window envelope with twenty-one pesos (Php21.00) worth of stamp; and,

7.     Exam Fee:

●      PO4th Class Exam - Four Hundred Pesos (Php400.00)

●      PO3rd Class Exam - Four Hundred Fifty Pesos (Php450.00)

●      PO2nd Class Exam - Five Hundred Pesos (Php500.00)

●      PO1st Class Exam - Six Hundred Pesos (Php600.00) 

The original documents and photocopies of the Birth Certificate, Transcript of Records/Diploma/Certificate of Graduation, KSS Form bilang 33/Appointment Order, KSS Form bilang 33/Promotion Order, and Certificate of Eligibility (Board/Bar/Civil Service Professional/Napolcom or Certification of Eligibility issued by the Napolcom) shall be presented by the applicant during the processing of his/her application at the Regional Office (RO) for purposes of validation. All requirements submitted by the applicant shall form part of the RO records.

“The PNPE Exam is open to all civilian applicants aspiring to be a member of the Philippine National Police who have a bachelor’s degree and are not less than 21 years old or more than 30 years old on the day of the examination. It is also open to Patrolmen and Patrolwomen with temporary appointment due to lack of appropriate eligibility,” the advisory read. 

“On the other hand, qualified uniformed personnel of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility and who would like to be promoted can register for the promotional examinations,” it added.
