Woman dies after being hit by motorcycle in Navotas

A woman died after she was bumped by a motorcycle along M. Naval St. in  Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran, Navotas City, on Monday, Nov. 6.

The Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) identified the victim as Ferleen Agang Javier, 39, a resident of Area 1, Brgy., NBBS Dagat-dagatan, Navotas City.

Initial investigation showed that  at around 7 a.m. on Nov. 6., Javier was walking in front of Frabelle Cold Storage on M. Naval St. heading to Agora when she was hit by a motorcycle driven by Mark Biatingo, 25, also of the same barangay.

The victim was immediately brought to Tondo Medical Center.  She was declared dead on arrival.

Police said Biatingo was also taken to Navotas City Hospital for a medical assessment before he was brought to the police station. His motorcycle was turned over Navotas City Impounding Unit.

Biatingo will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, police said.
