'Salvage' victim found in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A “salvage” or summary execution victim was found in Sitio Sampaloc Lakers, Barangay Malabanban Norte, this town, on Sunday, November 5.

Police said the victim was wearing a yellow T-shirt and blue shorts, about 20- to 30-years-old, and 5’4” in height.

Initial investigation said that a resident heard gunshots and minutes later, saw a man sprawled on the ground with a bullet wound in the head.

Police found three fired .45 caliber cartridge cases near the victim’s body.

Lawmen are conducting backtracking and dragnet operations for the identity and apprehension of the gunman.
