Coronica ordered the station commanders of the La Paz and Jaro Police Stations to determine the identity of the victim.

Two amputated arms were found in Zone 2, Barangay Ticud, La Paz District on Monday morning. Hours later, a headless cadaver was found in Barangay Buhang, Jaro District.

Police surmised these are from the body of the same person as the arms were missing.

The body was wrapped in a blue sack with a note that said: “Balik ang kamay na bakal…Babala sa mga pusher. PD30. Merry Christmas 2023 (Bring back the hands.  Warning to the pusher. Merry Christmas 2023).”

Police Lt. Greg Matutino of the La Paz Police Station said no missing individuals were reported in their area.

Police Major Eduardo Siacon Jr. of the Jaro Police Station Commander is coordinating with other police units for missing persons.

The identity of the victim is yet to be determined and his head remains missing.
