Police net P500,000 shabu from high-value drug pusher

TACLOBAN CITY â€“ Police arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu valued at P500,000 in a buy-bust operation in Ormoc City, Leyte on Sunday, November 5.

SUSPECTED shabu valued at P500,000 was seized from a drug pusher in Ormoc City, Leyte on Sunday, November 5.

The suspect, Rey Banton Dalumpines, a resident of Barangay Tambulilid, Ormoc and high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade, was apprehended after he sold a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu worth P50,000 to a poseur-buyer.

Also seized from the suspect were two more sachets weighing more or less 60 grams of shabu and a caliber 9mm pistol with nine bullets.

Pieces of evidence were marked and inventoried on-site and charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspect.
