Fashion weeks may be over but we are still talking about their best style moments and celebrity sightings. Asian personalities were among the stars that witnessed the best collections the major fashion capitals offered, and some of them were Filipinos.
While South Korean stars were leading the pack, with them headlining many campaigns, many reports looked at Southeast Asian talents as emerging players in fashion online games. A report by Lefty, an influencer marketing platform, presented the top 10 Southeast Asian personalities who reigned supreme online, on Instagram and Tiktok, during the spring-summer 2024 season. Included in the list were Filipino actresses Pia Wurtzbach, Heart Evangelista, and Anne Curtis.
“As the world looks towards K-pop for the next rising stars, it’s essential to recognize the emerging talent in Southeast Asia. From actors to musicians, notable celebrities are making their mark and captivating audiences with their unique styles and stunning performances,” Lefty posted. “In our latest report, SS24 Womenswear Roundup, in partnership with Karla Otto and featuring exclusive insights from Tiktok, we showcase some of the most promising personalities from this region.”
The report stated that former Miss Universe Pia gained a $2.9 million earned media value (EMV), OG fashion icon Heart got 2.6 million EMV, and style darling Anne garnered $2.2 million EMV. Completing the list were Thai stars Apo Nattawin, Mile Phakphum, Tu Tontawan, Bright Vachirawit, Win Metawin, Dew Jirawat, and Indonesia’s Erika Richardo.
Last September, data insights companies Launchmetrics and Wearisma also reported that Heart, Pia, and Liza Soberano were among the Milan Fashion Week spring-summer 2024 attendees with high media value.
