Parañaque LGU distributes cash, rice to CARD program beneficiaries

The Parañaque City government distributed cash and rice assistance to 10,000 beneficiaries of the Cash and Rice Distribution (CARD) program on Sunday, Nov. 5.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said the distribution of assistance to the CARD program beneficiaries was held at the 88 Square Mall located in Barangay San Dionisio and at the Barangay Don Bosco gymnasium.

Olivarez said the 10,000 beneficiaries from Districts 1 and 2 were the first batch of beneficiaries of the program of President Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez in coordination with the office of Representatives Edwin Olivarez and Gus Tambunting.

He said each beneficiary received P1,050 cash and one 25 kg of rice worth P950.

The mayor said the CARD program was launched in response to the increase in rice prices.

Olivarez said the beneficiaries of CARD program are the poor and vulnerable residents of the city.
