The Department of Education (DepEd) is participating in this year’s celebration of National Children’s Month (NCM) through various related activities.

DepEd, in a Facebook post on Monday, Nov. 6, said that it is "one with the nation" in celebrating the 31st NCM this year with the theme "Stay Curious, Stay Cautious: Empowering Learners to Surf Safely."

This year’s NCM celebration, according to DepEd, will focus on Republic Act (RA) 11930, titled "An Act punishing Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), Penalizing the Production, Distribution, Possession, and Access of Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM)" and its recently enacted Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).
