ACEN Renewables International Pte. Ltd. (ACRI), the subsidiary of Ayala-led ACEN Corp. has been authorized to restructure the outstanding loan of Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. (Yoma).
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Monday, Nov. 6, ACRI offered a loan facility of $25 million to Yoma Strategic Investments Ltd. (YSIL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Yoma group.
The outstanding loan of YSIL to be restructured with ACRI has amounted to $27 million, including interest.
ACEN, along with its renewable division will coordinate the loan restructuring with Yoma, including having the Yoma parent firm guarantee the payment.
Authorized last Nov. 3, ACEN said that YSIL will purchase the loan from ACRI, with a payment period of ten years.
The loan restructuring allows the borrowers to renegotiate and change their loan terms with the lender in order to avoid loan overdue or default.
The necessary funding would roll out Yoma’s micro grids for telecommunications towers, said ACEN.
The microgrid construction would be made by Yoma Micro Power Pte. Ltd. (YMPS), Yoma’s joint venture with Norfund, IFC, and the founder of YMPS. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
