6 fugitives arrested in Caraga


CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police nabbed six individuals wanted for various cases in the Caraga region on Friday, November 3.

Police Regional Office-13 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said among those apprehended were the 10th most wanted person in the region, a 58-year-old man, for statutory rape, sexual assault, and acts of lasciviousness. The suspect was arrested in Barangay Pae, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City, she added.

Two others were arrested in Barangay San Agustin, Carmen, Agusan del Norte; and one each in Barangay Das-agan, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur; Barangay Walo, Loreto, Agusan del Sur, and Barangay San Juan, Surigao City.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft cited the community for providing information that led to the arrest of these fugitives.

"We have been keen in tracing the whereabouts of these wanted persons and we are thankful that the community has been cooperative with our police operations leading to their arrest,” Kraft said. “Indeed, there is victory in unity." 

Police are set to return the suspects to the courts that issued their warrants of arrest for proper disposition.
