The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Nov. 5 that rains may continue to affect parts of the country due to the shear line and easterlies.

PAGASA said Batanes and Cagayan, including Babuyan Islands, will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by shear line—an area where the cold northeasterly winds and the warm easterly winds converge.
The public is warned against flash floods or landslides in the affected areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
PAGASA also said Palawan, Caraga, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
The public is also advised that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
