G-Dragon was booked on suspicion of drug use after the police arrested in October a manager of an entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul as part of their investigation on illegal drugs being distributed at the bar.
In the process, a total of five people, including actor Lee Sun-kyun, G-Dragon, a doctor and an employee of the entertainment establishments, were booked on suspicion of drug use.
G-Dragon’s lawyer, Kim Soo-hyun of the law firm K1 Chamber, issued a statement on Oct. 31, saying, "(G-Dragon) will voluntarily appear before the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit on Nov. 6."
Ahead of his appearance before the police, fans of G-Dragon trended the hashtag #WeStandWithGDRAGON on X (formerly Twitter) to show their support to the singer.
