Daikin is cooling Southern Luzon through its new sales office

Global leader in air conditioning unveils one-stop showroom in Silang, Cavite that comes with service center and training facility

With a mission of "perfecting the air," Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning since 1924 with almost a century of history and experience in the industry, opened its first showroom in South Luzon on Oct. 27, 2023. The showroom is located at 9018 Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa Road, Purok 1,Brgy. Puting Kahoy in Silang, Cavite.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin Property Living, Takayoshi Miki, Daikin Philippines president, shared that this newest showroom is more than just a product display; it's a space designed for personalized solutions. “Our showroom serves a dual purpose – not only as a display for our products but also as a dedicated space to offer tailored solutions for our customers. We integrate air conditioning and ventilation control to address the unique needs of each customer.”

The new branch operates like a one-stop shop, comprising a sales and service office with a showroom, warehouse, and training facility. It has 14 in-house after-sales service personnel and eight sales engineers, trained to respond to requests efficiently and promptly.

High-Quality Customer Service
With a South Luzon base, customer service will significantly improve, with a commitment to respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours. Service requests will also target a 24-hour response from the desired date of the customer.

“All these commitments demonstrate our dedication to prioritizing our customers,” said Mr. Miki. “The Daikin brand, known for innovation and quality, is supported by the highest quality of customer service.”

The Daikin brand is also recognized for its commitment to sustainability by promoting energy-efficient air conditioners. It has pioneered the use of R32 refrigerants with low global warming potential.

Customers are assured a 12-year supply period for functional parts based on the last production of a unit or model. Every Daikin product is backed up by assurance that any parts can easily be replaced without enduring a long waiting period.

The new showroom will cater to 17 authorized service centers around the area, including the Bicol Region.

With a high standard in quality customer service, Mr. Miki also mentioned how Daikin keeps on exceeding customer expectations by innovating its products. “Daikin currently offers a range of products, spanning from residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. In this regard, we continue to develop the most advanced and energy-efficient solutions – a crucial focus for our new product development. However, our focus extends beyond products; we are also committed to advancing ventilation systems and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) systems. Our Streamer technology plays a vital role in enhancing IAQ. The integration of air conditioning and ventilation systems stands as the core strategy in our product innovation efforts.”

Training Hub in the Area
One feature of the Daikin South Luzon Showroom is its role as a training center for dealers in South Luzon and neighboring areas.

“We offer our dealers and installers free training through the Step-Up Training Program, eliminating the need for South Luzon and Bicol region dealers to travel to Metro Manila, as the new showroom is fully equipped for training,” added Mr. Miki.

Daikin supports installers and technicians through its DINet (Daikin Installers Network) program. Currently, there are 81 authorized installers under the DINet program in South Luzon, with an expected 400 technicians to be trained.

World-Class Products
As a global leader, the South Luzon Showroom will offer the latest advancements in air conditioning technology, including products such as the D-Smart King, D-Smart Queen, and D-Smart Lite models intended for residential spaces and small-office-home-office (SOHO) setups.

The D Smart Series includes models with advanced air conditioning technology that adapts to various needs, offering precise temperature control and remarkable energy efficiency. The D-Smart King is Daikin’s premium model that ensures total comfort, energy savings and air cleaning in one unit. It has a hybrid cooling feature that allows dehumidification control to create a comfortably cool environment and incorporated with Daikin Streamer Technology for a safer air on your room. The D-Smart Queen is their high efficiency model that has energy savings with low power consumption and provides virus protection. D-Smart Queen’s Gin-Ion filter effectively traps and decomposes 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria in the air and a Breeze mode feature that mimics the natural breeze of the wind.

The D-Smart Lite is a smart and eco-friendly choice, equipped with a built-in PCB protection that enables it to work within an elevated operating voltage range from 150 to 264V. This makes it ideal for use with a generator and a great solution for temporary offices.

The new showroom will also feature Daikin SkyAir, ideal for commercial spaces, designed with cutting-edge cooling solutions and its latest addition on their product line-up- Kiriu, an award winning model for its aesthetic design. SkyAir is Daikin’s solution for commercial application requirements such as restaurants, gyms, offices, etc.

Building owners can visit the showroom to learn about the Daikin Remote Monitoring System, offering a smart way to monitor, predict, and maximize savings. This system provides continuous 24-hour monitoring and automatic adjustments for air-conditioning systems, offering alerts for service disruptions and malfunctions in advance. With this, building owners and administrators are given more response time to rectify and address issues.

“Daikin is committed to improving indoor air quality, creating comfortable and healthier environments by introducing fresh air and eliminating 99.9 percent of airborne viruses and bacteria through streamer technology,” he said.

As for expansion plans in the future, Mr. Miki said that there are exciting developments ahead. “We currently operate three branches in Visayas and Mindanao, and we have plans to renovate them, creating solution showrooms similar to this one. Furthermore, we are considering building new showrooms in Davao and Cagayan De Oro. We’ve also recently inaugurated a new office in Pasig, with it being our largest solution showroom, slated to commence production next year.”
