Ravena unloaded 18 points and six rebounds, providing ample support in the NeoPhoenix’s 89-73 win over contenders Utsunomiya Brex to improve to an 8-1 record atop the Naka district standings.

Hokkaido, on the other hand, finally snapped an eight game losing streak to open the B.League season following a 70-64 win over Fighting Eagles Nagoya.

Ramos did a little bit of everything in the win, filling up the stat sheet with eight points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals as his team scored its first win after eight failed tries.

Another double-double performance from AJ Edu went down the drain anew as his Toyama Grouses bowed to RJ Abarrientos and his Shinshu Brave Warriors, 86-79.

Edu remained a pillar inside the paint for the Grouses, supplying 11 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks but were not enough to prevent his team from going winless through their first 10 games.

Abarrientos, on the other hand, chipped in six points on two triples to go along with six assists and three rebounds for the now 3-7 Brave Warriors.

After a 7-0 start to the season, Nagoya Diamond Dolphins have now absorbed three straight losses with a 76-67 setback against the Gunma Crane Thunders. Ray Parks struggled with only two points and one rebound to show in 11 minutes of play

Elsewhere, Carl Tamayo was also solid for the Ryukyu Golden Kings although they dropped an 81-76 decision against Osaka Evessa. Tamayo finished with seven points and six rebounds.

Also absorbing a defeat were Matthew Wright and the Kyoto Hannaryz after a 91-57 beating at the hands of the Kai Sotto-less Hiroshima Dragonflies. Wright had 12 points built on two triples along with two boards and two assists.

Jordan Heading also continued to miss Nagasaki Velca’s splendid run so far in the Division 1.

Nagasaki defeated Ibaraki, 98-81.

Over at the B2 League, Kiefer Ravena had eight points and eight assists as the Shiga Lakes escaped with a 74-68 win over the Kobe Stokes.
