San Juan City to start distribution of cash grants to PWDs
The San Juan City local government urged persons with disabilities (PWDs) on Friday, Nov. 3, to submit the necessary requirements for their cash grants that will be released next month.
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said each barangay has specific schedule of payout that can be found on his official Facebook page.
The requirements for the PWD cash grant are as follows:
- Registered PWD ID issued six months before September 2023.
- Certificate of Residency coming from the barangay that is not beyond two months. Indicate that the purpose of the certificate is for the claiming of cash grant.
Zamora reminded that in case an authorized representative will be the one to claim the cash grant, their names should also be indicated on the Certificate of Residency. Only family members or caregiver of the PWD are allowed to become the benefactor's authorized representative.
He stressed that only the PWD and authorized representative are the ones permitted to submit the requirements.
The mayor added that staff of the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) will visit the city barangays to collect and validate the documents.
