Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said members of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) started their “Operation Baklas Tarpaulin” to maintain the cleanliness around the city.

He said the CENRO team already collected all the tarpaulins used by candidates in the conduct of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) in Districts 1 and 2.

The team removed the tarpaulins in District 2 located at DASA Lopez going Sucat, San Antonio Valley I Avenue in Barangay San Antonio; Moonwalk main in road in Barangay Moonwalk and along Dona Soledad in Barangay Don Bosco going to Barangay San Martin de Porres.

The collected tarpaulins will then be turned over to the CENRO livelihood team for their “Oplan Tarpaulin Upcycling.”

The mayor said the collected tarpaulins will be converted into bags, wallet, loot bag, organizer and others to lessen the garbage at the sanitary landfill.
