Suzuki introduces Smash Fi leisure underbone

Now more fuel-efficient

Suzuki Philippines hopes to make personal mobility more accessible, and most of all, well worth the cost. It’s latest product the Smash Fi offers easy-to-use, affordable, and highly efficient transport.

The Smash Fi is the latest variant of Suzuki’s top-selling leisure underbone motorcycle, the Smash. Formerly only available with a carbureted engine, the new Smash Fi brings the power and efficiency of fuel-injection to the much-loved model. 

More powerful and efficient

The newly designed fuel-injected engine is light and compact yet is the strongest in the 110-115cc engine category. It produces max power 9.38 hp at 7,5000 rpm and max torque of 9.10 Nm at 6,5000 rpm. This makes it the most powerful motorcycle in the 110-115cc engine category. 

Nonetheless, it is still fuel efficient, achieving 68 km/L using the World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC). The Smash Fi also produces less harmful emissions, certified to be compliant with the current Euro-3 emissions standards imposed on motorcycles.

New look

Besides the new engine, the Smash Fi also boasts of a new look. It comes with body-mounted turn signals. In between is a sporty intake finished in matte grey. It comes with a handlebar mounted headlight with position lights. Along the body are aesthetic improvements as well like edgy decals, a highly visible sporty meter panel, and a sporty muffler. The Smash Fi is also available in wire wheels and spoke wheels depending on the variant.

Easy to ride

Designed to be used by a wide variety of riders, the Smash Fi is still easy to use. The front disc brake variant features and electric starter and gear position indicator. Shifting gears is also easy thanks to the clutchless operation. The gear shifter also has a back pedal in order to easily downshift without scuffing one’s shoes.

The Smash is built on a sturdy yet lightweight frame, making it easy for even beginner riders to handle, yet still robust enough to take on bad roads and heavy loads. It also comes with a weight-saving muffler with a built-in catalyst. This catalyst reduces exhaust emissions, and is also made lighter to reduce overall weight.

The new Smash Fi is now available in two variants: the spokes and front drum brake variant, and the disc and mag wheels variant.

It comes in Candy Summer Red or New Titan Black for the front drum brake variant, priced at P66,400. The front disc brake variant is available in Metallic Matte Stellar Blue or New Titan Black (with red wheels), priced at P71,900.
