LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth a total of P21.2 million and arrested eight drug pushers in the Cordillera region from November 19 to 25.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division said 14 clandestine marijuana plantations were found and 73,950 fully grown marijuana plants and 4,500 marijuana seedlings worth P21,090,000 were destroyed in eradication campaigns in Benguet and Kalinga.
On the other hand, 19.15 grams of shabu worth P130,220 were confiscated from eight suspected drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in the region.
Police identified the suspects as Danilo Cuengan, 38, and Hadjie Golming, 39, both high-value individuals (HVI); and Reymalth Liwayan, 34; Renor Togasi, 41; Hulden Bangcolen, 31; Darnelly Klay Dimoloy, 21; Amrodi Disuma, 32; and Joel Arzadon, 41, all listed as street-level individuals (SLI).
Suspects and pieces of evidence are in the custody of arresting units.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
