The Malabon City local government held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 30, for the new Hulong Duhat Super Health Center (HDSHC).
Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval spearheaded the groundbreaking along with Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Tesoro Go, Malabon Health and Sanitation Department Officer in Charge (OIC) Dr. Bernadette Bordador, Vice Mayor Bernard "Ninong" Dela Cruz, Congressman Ricky Sandoval, and the City Council.

According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), the Hulong Duhat’s Super Health Center is strategically located to serve a cluster of regular health centers in Malabon City.
This encompasses the Health Centers of Dampalit, Muzon, Flores, Bayan-Bayanan, Baritan, Concepcion, along with the existing Hulong Duhat regular health center.

The HDSHC aims to offer comprehensive outpatient medical and dental care services, basic laboratory examinations, emergency services, minor surgeries, ambulance, and pharmacy services. Also, there are plans to include a smoking cessation clinic for patients aiming to quit smoking.
Mayor Sandoval said the inauguration of HDSHC marks a new phase of hope and opportunity for city residents.

“Ang Hulong Duhat Super health Center ay isang bagong yugto ng pag-asa at pagkakataon na ating binubuksan, ito ay hindi lamang pangalan at istraktura, ito ay simbolo ng pag-asa ng pag-babago at ng pangangalaga sa kapwa (The Hulong Duhat Super Health Center is a new chapter of hope and opportunity that we are opening. It is not just a name and a structure, it is a symbol of hope for change and caring for others),” she said.
“We want to give the kind of health care that will keep them from getting sick. We want families to have physicians that are familiar with their cases. Our 5th Super health Center in Hulong Duhat brings us closer to that goal,” Sandoval added.

The city mayor expressed her gratitude to Go for his unwavering support to the city, especially in the health sector.
“We applaud Senator Bong Go, for pushing and supporting the improvement in our country’s healthcare program. His initiative to make healthcare available for free through the Department of Health makes healthcare accessible in a way that has never been seen before," Sandoval stated.
