Light aircraft reported missing in Isabela


CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – A Cyclone light aircraft was reported missing after it left the airport here for the Palanan Airport in Palanan, Isabela on Thursday, November 30.

The plane with tail number RPC-1234 was piloted by Capt. Levy N. Abul II and has one passenger on board.

Initial police report said the aircraft left the Cauayan City Airport at about 9:39 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive at the Palanan Airport less than an hour later.  

It failed to arrive and the pilot has yet to communicate with authorities. 

Cauayan Airport police have coordinated with Cauayan City Airport Tower to locate the plane which was last spotted in the vicinity of San Mariano, Isabela.

The provincial government is coordinating with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and US forces based at the 5th Infantry Division in Gamu, Isabela to find the aircraft.
