- PLDT dug deep and parried what an already eliminated F2 Logistics had to offer in scraping out a 25-21, 27-25, 25-23 victory that kept it in the semifinal race of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City late Thursday, Nov. 30.

Fil-Canadian Savannah Davison dealt the most devastating damage and fired 22 points including the match-sealing kill as the High Speed Hitters claimed their sixth win in 10 outings that somehow breathed life to their waning semis bid.
But for PLDT to snatch the last ticket to the semis bus, it has to beat Petro Gazz, also with a 6-4 record and desperately fighting for survival, and hope sister team Cignal (7-3) shockingly loses to winless Gerflor (0-10) in the final elimination round scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 5, also in Pasig.
And PLDT coach Rald Ricafort there’s nothing they can do but pray for a miracle.
“Nung natalo sa Choco Mucho, alam na namin slim chance of wala na at tapusin na lang ng maayos,” said Ricafort.
“Sana himala. Kung me chance talaga at palarin, paghahandaan namin.”
PLDT played minus setter Rhea Dimaculangan and spiker Erika Santos due to various injuries but good thing Angelica Legacion and Jules Samonte stepped up and filled the void.
Legacion had 18 excellent sets while Samonte scattered nine hits including a kill straight to the empty space at the back that broke a deadlock at 23 in the third set and paved the way for Davison’s dagger spike.
“Kailangan mag-step up and contribute,” said Legacion.
