CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – The reward for information about the disappearance of Batangas beauty queen Catherine Camilon has reached P250,000.
Another P150,000 was raised by the business sector in Batangas and the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, the Police Regional Office 4-A headed by Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas said.
Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste had earlier offered P100,000 for information on Camilon, 26, a resident of Tuy, Batangas.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Calabarzon investigators are still facing a blank wall on the case but they said search and in-depth investigation are ongoing.
A police officer with the rank of major is a person of interest. He allegedly had a romantic relationship with Camilon and the police officer gave the vehicle she was seen using in a surveillance footage in a gasoline station in Batangas.
The policeman has been relieved from his position and restricted to this camp. Lucas said the police officer will be held accountable if there is evidence linking him to her disappearance.
The CIDG-Calabarzon encouraged the people to coordinate with them if they have any significant information that could help solve Camilon’s case.
