President Marcos has welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the Malacañan Palace upon the latter's arrival in Manila for a two-day official visit.

Kishida was given an arrival honors at the Kalayaan Ground inside the Malacañan grounds on Friday afternoon, Nov. 3.
After the ceremony, where Kishida met with Marcos and other Cabinet officials, the two leaders entered the Palace for the signing of the guestbook.
It will be followed by a bilateral meeting, where they are expected to discuss the issues in the West Philippine Sea, Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) to the Philippines, their political and security cooperation and economic and people-to-people relations.
After the bilateral meeting, the two officials will present their agreements and joint press statement. A banquet for the Japanese delegation will take place after.
Kishida will be in the country until Saturday, Nov. 4.
Before proceeding to Malacañan, Kishida went to Rizal Park for a wreath laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument.
