Angels seek solo lead vs Crossovers

The Angels aim for their fifth straight win in as many matches in their 6 p.m. confrontations with the Crossovers, who seek to untangle themselves from a three-way logjam with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the PLDT High Speed Hitters with identical 3-1 slates.

PLDT also shares the same mission with Chery Tiggo in their 4 p.m. tussle with struggling Gerflor (0-4) even as Farm Fresh (0-5) targets to end its misfortunes when it squares off with Cignal (2-2) at 2 p.m.

Still enjoying its 25-22, 27-25, 25-14 victory over F2 Logistics last Thursday, Nov. 2, Petro Gazz aims nothing but to sustain that momentum with Ranya Musa and Jonah Sabete at the forefront of its attack after the duo combined for 22 points the last time.

The Angels are also looking at veteran setter Djanel Cheng to distribute the ball well, and the experience of Aiza Pontillas and Grethcel Soltones to challenge the Crossovers.

Chery Tiggo, meanwhile, is also looking at extending its recent 25-8, 25-12, 25-20 demolition of Gerflor last Tuesday, Oct. 31, with sisters Eya and EJ Laure manning the attack line.

Help will also come from Jasmine Nabor, Princess Robles and Imee Hernandez.

In other matches, Gerflor hopes to finally get its big break after being unsuccessful in its previous four matches.

Gerflor coach Sammy Acaylar aims for more firepower from his stalwarts bannered by Jenny Gaviola and Jeanette Villareal, especially that they are facing a team like PLDT, which boasts of experienced players like Savannah Davison, Erika Santos and Royse Tubino.
