BACOLOD CITY – The second standard Philippine National Police (PNP) building here was unveiled in Barangay Granada recently.
Police Brig. Gen. Archival Macala, deputy regional director for administration (DRDA) of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, city officials led by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, and lot donor Michael Lawrence Bantug, president of Bantug Lake Ranch Development, led the inauguration on Thursday, November 23.

Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 5, said the construction of the P10-million structure was divided into two phases and funded by the Office of Abang Lingkod party-list Rep. Stephen Paduano.
Puerto said the new station was built on a 500-square meter lot donated by the Bantug family.
He said they are eyeing to transfer to the new building in December as they still have to sort out what they will bring from their old station.
Puerto said their old station will be used as a police outpost.
The new BCPO Station 5 headquarters was inaugurated more than a month after that of the Police Station 7 in Barangay Mansilingan on October 25.
Out of the 10 police stations in this city, only eight do not have a standard PNP building.
