Man wanted for rape falls in Laguna


CAMP GENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – Police arrested a 41-year-old man wanted for rape on Monday, November 27, in Rizal, Laguna.

Police Col. Harold Depositar, Laguna police chief, identified the suspect as “Butchoy,” a resident of Valenzuela City.

Butchoy was arrested on a warrant for rape and violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act issued by Judge Mateo Altarejos, acting Presiding Judge, Valenzuela City Regional Trial Court Branch 172, National Capital Judicial Region, dated September 19, 2023.

The court recommended no bail for the suspect in the rape case. Hiowever, he had a P180,000 bail for child abuse.

Suspect was the National Capital Region Police Office’s No. 2 most wanted person on the regional level and No. 6 most wanted person on the provincial level.

He is in the custody of the Rizal, Laguna Municipal Police Station.
