Foodies in the Big Apple (New York City) will crave for Filipino cuisine this holiday season, as some all-time favorite dishes are showcased in Times Square, made possible by Grab.
To honor and celebrate some of the most iconic dishes on its platform, the superapp featured these dishes as stars in its latest billboard ad on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square this holiday season. Among those towering over the bustling commercial intersection of Times Square were Jollibee’s Chickenjoy, Mang Inasal’s Chicken Inasal, Manam’s Pinoy Sisig, Balai Pandesal’s Ube Pandesal with Cheese, Angel's Pizza’s Creamy Spinach Pizza, Tropical Hut’s Burger with Pineapple, and Wow Lechon's Pork Lechon.
Grab dedicated the Nasdaq Tower space to give visibility to seven homegrown Philippine restaurants and 44 others from various Southeast Asian countries. This strategic placement highlights the extraordinary variety of culinary offerings available on the platform, beloved by both locals and travelers as they immerse themselves in Southeast Asia's vibrant and diverse flavors with Grab.
Meanwhile, to help travelers plan ahead of their trips, especially in a foreign region, Grab has launched the Traveller Homepage. This allows users to explore a city within the Grab app as if they were at the destination. Available for 33 of the top cities tourists visit in Southeast Asia, travelers can search places of interest, explore our extensive selection of cuisines and restaurants in the region, and save them to a list.
While Grab is well-known for its ride-hailing service and saw a three-fold jump in rides to and from airports between January and December 2022, awareness of its food offerings amongst international travelers is growing. Since its listing in 2021, the company has used this prime billboard space to recognize and show appreciation to Grab users, its community of driver-partners, delivery partners, and merchant partners that serve millions of consumers daily across the region.
