The Parañaque City Veterinary Services Office, (VSO) prepared various programs for pet lovers in celebration of its 10th year anniversary at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay on Dec. 8.
According to Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez, the VSO will conduct free microchipping and anti-rabies vaccination to 100 dogs and cats from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Olivarez said the VSO will also distribute scanners to the city’s 16 barangays to be used for both diagnosis and treatment of dogs and cats.
He said the VSO also prepared a Jingle Bell Rock dance pawtry to be participated in by pet owners and their furbabies.
The mayor said a “holly taily pet costume show and parade” will also be conducted during the event.
Olivarez said participants to the costume show and pet parade must wear green and white Christmas costumes that are pet friendly.
He said that at the “holly taily costume show and parade,” the grand winner will receive P5,000, P3,000 for the second place, and P3,000 for the third place including special loot bags and sponsored goods.
The mayor added that furbabies will also be picked for special awards such as the “paw-togenic” fur baby; fur darling of the crowd, and “furiendlist” and will receive special loot bags.
