QC gov't issues traffic advisory for DOH's National Bike to Work Day celebration
The Quezon City government has advised motorists to expect slow traffic flow along four routes on Wednesday, Nov. 29, as the Department of Health's National Bike to Work Day celebration will be conducted on the city roads.

According to the local government, the slow movement of vehicles along Centris Walk - Enterprise Avenue, Heroes Street, Quezon Avenue, and the road near the Lung Center of the Philippines is expected from 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on the said day.
QC Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) personnel will be deployed to manage the traffic on the roads and assist motorists.
The local government encouraged motorists to take alternate routes during the said period.
The DOH had earlier called on local government units to conduct a program and a community bike ride to observe the National Bike to Work Day on Nov. 29 to encourage the city residents to use the said two-wheeled vehicles when going to school or work.
The National Bike to work Day is observed to express support to individuals who take the streets going to their work and promote health.
It said that biking is good for the health and environment, may help avoid road accidents and allow commuters to save money as they will not need to pay fares for riding public utility vehicles.
