President Marcos is expected to sign the proposed national budget for 2024 by the middle of December.

Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno disclosed that Marcos could sign the proposed 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) before he leaves for Japan for the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit.
"Malamang (Probably)," Diokno said when asked if Marcos would be able to sign the proposed budget by Dec. 16 during a Palace briefing on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
"So they will go into conference committee by December 1st and so there's enough time bago umalis si Presidente (before the President leaves)," he added.
The House of Representatives passed the proposed P5.768-trillion national budget on its third and final reading last Sept. 27.
It was transmitted to the Senate on Nov. 4.
The national budget, which awaits approval, is the largest proposed budget in the country's history.
