Flying Titans rout Defenders, soar to ninth straight win

Despite having secured a semifinal berth, the Flying Titans refused to slow down with their hard-hitting attacks on all angles that frustrate the struggling Defenders.

The victory kept Choco Mucho at provisionary second with a 9-1 win-loss record with Creamline (8-0) and Chery Tiggo (9-1) competing at press time.

As expected, Sisi Rondina was a force to reckon with after spearheading the Flying Titans with 14 kills, two aces and one block for 17 points, while Bea De Leon displayed her all-around game with six attacks, five blocks and two aces to tally with 13 points.

Choco Mucho exploded at the attack line by firing 37 kills, while also taking charge of the net by posting 10 blocks.

They also took advantage of Gerflor’s erratic plays, managing to get 21 points.

While the Flying Titans continued to soar near the top leaderboard, the Defenders plummeted to their ninth straight loss to dig deeper in the cellar along with the Galeries Tower Highrisers.

None from Gerflor scored in twin figures after managing with only 29 kills, two aces and one block as Mary Grace Berte scored only eight points.
