BACOLOD CITY – Two women on their way home died after their motorcycle was rammed by a six-wheel truck in Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental on Friday, November 24.

Police identified the victims as Grace Telebrico, 23, of Barangay 10, Victorias City, motorcycle driver, and her back rider, Julie Broce, 40, of Barangay 21.
Police Major Joy Ellaga, deputy chief of the Victorias City Police Station, said the victims’ motorcycle was about to turn right when the truck hit them.
Victims were declared dead in a hospital.
Ellaga said the 51-year-old truck driver, who failed to notice them on the road, fled due to fear but later surrendered to Police Station 6 in Barangay Taculing here.
The truck was found abandoned at Victorias Milling Co. (VMC) New Road, Barangay 13 on Friday.
Ellaga said charges for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide were filed on Saturday, November 25, against the truck driver, who is detained at Victorias City Police Station.
