Security officer waylaid in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A security officer was gunned down here on Monday, November 27.

Police identified the victim as  Ricky Funtilon Casipe, 48, of Sitio Buenagatas, Boalan, this city.

Casipe, a former soldier, was driving his motorcycle when two men onboard a motorcycle chased him.

The suspects caught up with the victim infront of a gasoline station in Barangay San Jose Gusu and fired at him.

The gunmen sped away after the incident. Casipe was taken to the hospital where he died due to bullet wounds.

Police are thoroughly investigating the incident.
